Electrical help with Meade ETX 70 please

It is easy to do - I ran one from a powertank before. You might want to get all the components new - Mailing do them all very cheaply. Ensure that you reduce the 12v from the powertank down to 9v as well!! Sent from my GT-I9001 using Tapatalk 2 -
I'm pretty sure that Buzz didn't just twiddle his thumbs while Neil.landed! I'm sure he would have had vital jobs to do too. A wonderful man. He will forever be one of my heroes - not just for landing on the moon, but for lamping that moon landing nay-sayer (violence not condoned, but he asked for it!) There is a good QHY5 on Astro Buy Sell at the moment. Nothing to do with me, but they are great lunar/planetary/guide cams - I know cos that's what I use! Sent from my GT-I9001 using Tapatalk 2

Can't remember the last time I posted a moon image.....

Very nice. Sharp and contrasty, most importantly you didn't miss any areas! Well done. (It is upside down though...) Sent from my GT-I9001 using Tapatalk 2 -
There is a pair of Hawke ProStalk 8x56 EDs on astrobuysell at the moment. £175 IIRC - a pretty good price. Not connected to the sale, just thinking it might help? Sent from my GT-I9001 using Tapatalk 2

Haven't had much time for astronomy recently, with the run up to Christmas etc. Managed to get an hour or so out last night before the rain came in. Have borrowed a Celestron 127 Nexstar SLT from my bro-in-law. Tracking was awful and it wouldn't align (I now believe it is set up the wrong way - arm is on the right of the scope viewed from the ep and it should be on the left?) Also, the QHY5 wasn't talking to my network. Still, managed 1 min AVi with the following result. Not too bad... Sent from my GT-I9001 using Tapatalk 2

BuzzBomb replied to stuartjones's topic in Discussions - Scopes / Whole setups
The HiTech hub on the same page as the above link words well with the SW autofocuser. I have one for my Newt. Can't see why it wouldn't work with your frac. Sent from my GT-I9001 using Tapatalk 2 -
That is good. Focus looks great and lots of detail. Sent from my GT-I9001 using Tapatalk 2

So we know which one is the best value for money! We're still the early pioneers of solar system exploration - the Lewis and Clark of the space age if you like. Sure, there will be mistakes, but we might just become the shoulders' of giants... Sent from my GT-I9001 using Tapatalk 2
