  1. Both versions good but I think I prefer the first one, looks a little more natural.
  2. Another fine image, glad you squeezed all three in.
  3. Thats the same unit as I linked to but with different connector and more expensive, it plugs into the mains just the same, not from a battery. Here's mine.
  4. Not sure if this will show anything, set computer and phone screens to white and compare. Might show up something. Not sure if this will help but do you have a display set up feature? this is the default Apple one.
  5. Very good mate. Awaiting a flat field generator to take flats so I can process mine, somehow I don't think its going to be as good.
  6. Yup, they're just avoiding us because of all the rubbish TV transmissions.
  7. Lovely combination, superb image.
  8. Yes the battery should be good. The item linked is a mains AC to 12v DC 10 Amp Max power supply, the Pocket Powerbox Advanced will come with a power cable that will plug in to any cigaret lighter socket like the one in the link. The PPA will distribute the correct voltage to each output, if you use the battery then you might want to consider surge protection as an extra safety feature. A quote from their website, it looks like it has surge protection. Built in Voltmeter A precise voltmeter measures and displays in real time your input voltage. If the input is more than 14V, the power is instantly cut off to protect your equipment.
  9. Amazing amount of stars, have you counted them up yet ? I think its a great image with them all on show.
  10. Lovely shot, nicely balanced colours and saturation.
  11. I'm with Alan on this, really good.
  12. I'm not on that forum, spend enough time on this one. 😆 I have found some threads crop up on google but nothing relevant to this topic. I think my drift was in RA but not certain. @vineyardI think changing the binning and exposure for guiding may sometimes be necessary depending on seeing conditions and what stars are available. I had my first image stop last night after a few seconds but there were no error messages in any of the modules.
  13. It sounds like there is something not quite right with Ekos, different modules not always communicating with each other. One thing I had to do a couple of times last night is click autofocus to get it started again, once was definitely at a filter change.
  14. Another alternative is the Pegasus Ultimate Power Box V2, 6 x USB, 4 x Dew, Focuser, 4 x 12v power. I'm waiting for mine to arrive, when set up all I'll have trailing down is 1 x USB to computer and 1 x power cable.
  15. Me too. Two nights ago I didn't check PA, just left it and guiding kept target pretty much dead centre. Last night I tweaked it (was slightly off)and got drift !
  16. Any normal 12v power tank will do or if you want mains power then this should be all you need. https://www.dewcontrol.com/Mains_Power_Supply_Unit_-_12V_10A/p3099125_19688635.aspx I got one for my UPB V2 which has yet to arrive.
  17. Very nice, reds are really bright which make a nice contrast with the white.
  18. Well, last night my rig was already set up, tweaked PA and got started. Halfway through session I noticed the mount had drifted a little. Paused and re-aligned and everything stayed good until my power tank died. Maybe my mount needs levelling again, might have sunk on the grass or it might be cable drag.
  19. Lovely capture, good star colours.
  20. You have dipped your toe into a very large deep ocean. Get the DSLR and dive in. Well done for a first attempt.
  21. The inverted is a real eye opener, like it a lot.
