  1. You've got some great detail there πŸ‘
  2. Thanks Chris, I enjoyed that. I managed to get all 15 but I have an advantage as I've been quizmaster for the Derby & District Astronomical Society for a few years now and I've posed many of these questions myself at sometime
  3. Agreed, a great report, next best thing to being out there myself as all I have is cloud here in the UK at the moment.
  4. Nice report, I'll have a crack at that when I'm next out
  5. Everyone is different but from my experience I'd recommend the Morpheus. I have the 14mm ES and it is a great eyepiece and was my go to eyepiece for many years until I bought a couple of the Morpheus. They blew me away and I fell in love with them straight away, I just need to convince my wife that I need the whole set
  6. That's a nice image, I like the colours too and the core's not blown out so I'd say that's a good start with your new scope. It looks almost 3d, what camera were you using?
  7. That's a nice image of one of my favourite objects πŸ‘
  8. I thought the first image was great but I think you've topped it with this one. Excellent stuff πŸ‘
  9. Nice images Mark, I particularly like your Saturn image πŸ‘
  10. Loving the cloudy one, really different πŸ‘
  11. That's a wow from me too πŸ‘
  12. I've had quite a few grazes and cuts handling equipment and often a bad back, however my worst mishap occurred one Christmas a few years back. I was out with the scope when my wife popped her head out the back offering me a Lily O'Brien sticky toffee chocolate. I gratefully accepted and was merrily munching away when I looked up to decide on my next target and as I did the gooey chocolate shot to the back of my throat making me choke. I thought I was a goner but fortunately after much gasping for breath the darn thing shifted. I thought afterwards what a dumb way to die that would have been.
  13. Nice report, I might have a go at these next time I'm out observing
  14. Sounds great, I remember the last time I experienced a really dark sky, so many stars, it was amazing but it took me ages to find the constellations I thought I knew so well
  15. That's very nice, lovely colour πŸ‘
  16. That's very nice, well done πŸ‘ I think that's a satellite not a meteor
  17. Nice Jupiter and the Saturn image is superb πŸ‘
  18. Great colours and detail πŸ‘
  19. I like it very much πŸ‘ and adding the moon for scale really helps. It never ceases to amaze me how large some of these objects are
  20. I like that very much, lovely colours and detailπŸ‘
  21. Me too, weeknights are usually a no go for me due to work so I'm generally relying on a clear Friday or Saturday night.
