  1. Lovely looking collection, I've not got any Vixen kit but maybe I'll have to start looking
  2. That's brilliant, thanks Michael. I'll give them a go if ever I get some clear skies 👍
  3. That's a new group for me, thanks for sharing. Loads of faint fuzzies in there, nice image 👍
  4. That is really nice, as soon as I gazed upon it I thought wow that's lovely 👍

I'm no expert but that looks pretty good to me, well done 👍
  6. Just found out today that they are building 400 new houses and a primary school on the fields behind the end of our close 😞
  7. To be honest I hadn't looked at the price until now. It is a bit pricey, I think it can stay in its box for now.......
  8. I'm thinking of getting one of these for my Bresser 127 https://www.firstlightoptics.com/telescope-bags-cases-storage/oklop-padded-bag-for-90-102-127-mc-tubes-accessories-or-star-adventurer-mounts.html
  9. Lovely images, especially the first one.👍
  10. I bought the latest edition last year and it has been nicely updated.
  11. We've had new LEDs and it has actually lessened the sky glow noticeably for me. I took this picture on a foggy morning towards the end of December and there appears to very little, if any, light directed upwards. And this image was taken earlier this week as I approached one of these lights on the corner of the road and again there appears to be little light escaping upwards. Although I do wonder if they are reflecting more light upwards from the ground?
  12. I've got the Bresser and I've found it to be an excellent scope for planetary, lunar and double stars.
  13. That's a different view of one of my favourites. I don't think I've seen an image of it with all that dust before, nice one 👍
  14. 1 William Herschel's telescopes which were optically the best telescopes of the time and with which he became the first person to truly catalogue deep sky objects 2 The Hubble Space Telescope for it's ground-breaking discoveries 3 Horn Antenna used to make one of the most important discoveries in all of astronomy (although quite by accident) - the detection of the cosmic microwave background radiation.
  15. I think £687 is the price of the 10" Bresser not the 8" that the OP is looking at. The 8" is £470 so not that much difference in price.
  16. That's more than reasonably OK, it's a great image 👍
