Is Anyone Actually Getting Any Viewing Done?

didn't have a chance to use mine for like forever, so a clear sky the other night i though what a heck, I'd pull my 200p out to the balcony just to let it get some fresh air.

got about 20 minutes of viewing after cooling, and realised I could barely move the OTA around, cause the gears were so stiff for some reason. checked the thermometer.. alrighty.. -23C. ouch..

Erm, hate to say it, but three and a bit almost entirely clear weeks ended a couple of days ago. Last night wasn't bad but moon time is bo-bo's time for me.

Just looked at metcheck and it's predicting 'mainly clear' for Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Fingers crossed, but I'm not holding my breath!

Havent viewed for couple days now here middlesbrough northeast uk since weathers been cloudy. typical when wanted to view full moon cloud cover.

My last time viewing was over a week ago, been heavy clouds since then. Metcheck forecast says clear skies up here next Saturday and Sunday.

at the moment i've seen nothing but cloud ,had my scope three weeks now used it twice, so i bought myself some televue ep's and yep still no clear skies i'm not going to buy anything else as i seem to encourage cloud

Last time there was a long cloudy spell like this, when it did eventually clear I'd forgotten where I'd put my scope power supply.

I share your frustration. Few enough clear skies here in Dorset and I've had to work on some of them. Got a new scope last week, only used it for a hour or so when everything diasppeared behind cloud.

I have forgotten when was the last time i looked through a scope or bins. Ive just ordered an 8mm Vixen NPL from FLO so thats ok because the weather here for the week is rain and cloud.

Nope. Not since Christmas day visual at inlaws.

Before that, 6th Dec.

Before that, twice in November, and a few nights (4 to 8 ish) in October.

The trend looks like I'm due a clear night anytime now and then that's it until June...

Good News. My weather maps show HIGH Pressure coming in to the SW from Sunday 27th Feb for a couple of days with clear skys. ie: 10% cloud. then going downhill again. If I am right, you heard it here first.

Doom and gloom may be on the horizon if the government have there way.You think the cloud is a problem in this country.The government plan to increase british summer time by 2 hours (normally 1 hour)in the near future,so viewing in the early evening will be a thing of the past.Not good at all:(.
