Gratuitous shot of two of my mounts. Up front is my Vixen Polaris (shameless plug - it's for sale). Behind is my Takahashi 90S, supporting my f/16 Skylight. Although it doesn't look it, the counterweight for the Tak weighs almost as much as the entire Polaris setup.

Losmandy titan and G11

I had no Idea the Titan was so massive! It dwarfs the G11! Here’s my G11- I did a tucked in motor conversion like on your Titan (but in miniature obvs 😉)

My other mount is an old Celestron CI-700.  It is a great mount for visual and it is also quite at home imaging as well.

Love to hear about your experience with this telescope. 🙂

The old CI-700 is not GoTo but I do have encoders and a DSC interface for pointing.  The guiding tends to be quite good and it handles the 150mm Hyper Newt with no strain.

This is my own latest mount,.A combination of Vixen AP modules, custom plates, digital encoders and a DSC. For travel and as grab and go with FS60CB or Questar.

Light, compact push to Alt - Az with slowmotions and no external power required with DSC and Sky Safari.

Posted elsewhere recently, but thought I would pop this in here for the record.

This being my Unitron 114 AltAz mount, bought off eBay some time back. It’s a really lovely piece of engineering, and I’ve fitted a couple of vixen saddles to it so I can mount with the FS60C or FC76DCU/Q to it easily. It has become an accepted corner piece in the lounge now and looks very nice there.

The slow motion controls work very well and rotate with the mount so always face you. They need resetting every now and then but that’s an easy job. The only negative is the fact that the scope is mounted above the axis of rotation, so can tend to fall back when pointed high up with a heavier scope, but I’ve not found that a big problem with the 76Q and a counterweight at the front makes it much more stable.

Some American hardware for you, and there's not too many of them in the UK.

My 2014 DiscMounts DM-6 (+ 8" riser) on BB Planet + Nexus DSC with a Baader Skysurfer V (mounted on the mounts altitude axis, rather than on the scope)

Simple and efficient to use and easy to manually track even at high powers.

Just in time before the vacation. Drove two hours one way yesterday to the distributer and then back just to pick it up in person. Did not want to risk delivery delay.

Hello, yes it’s a Gibraltar HD4 I bought second hand earlier this year. It’s beautifully made and with my scope at least rock solid and buttery smooth, I adore it.

An unusual one.... its a Rob Miller prototype from the end of the 80's modified with Onstep drive control. Here it is happily holding a 14inch classical cassegrain, with 25kg of counterweights.

A lot more info on this and other mounts in this thread:

Some lovely mounts in this thread and a good read. I posted this recently in the DIY section but as it’s cloudy, wet and I’m at home recovering from flu here’s my Frankensteinian mount. Small reflector - SkyWatcher StarQuest on-top of an EQ5 type tripod.

Skytee-2, current most used manual mount

I've just purchased a Scopetech Mount Zero as well as the Skytee is a bit cumbersome at times, but don't have any great photos yet. Will post up once I do.

Wow! I am surprised to see that 152 on an LXD-55, it carries it without issue? I wouldn't have thought.
