Just getting into astronomy properly after many years of 'looking' but not studying the night sky.  Should have started back then but circumstances had other ideas.

So far I've used binoculars, I invested in a pair of Celestron Skymaster 25 x 100 as I got them at a very good price along with an Orion Paragon-Plus XHD Extra tripod.  Only been out once with this setup (typical British weather, fine until you want to do something outdoors 🙄) But what I saw took my breath away....where did all those stars come from?? 😳

Looking forward to some clear skies.

Hi Loordspudz, welcome to the forum, your comment 'where did all those stars come from??' gelled with me because that was the first thought that came to mind when I first looked at the night sky through a telescope, the sky just suddenly comes alive doesn't it and you wonder why you haven't noticed it before?

Thanks for the welcome everyone 👍

Looks like tonight could be a clear one (downloaded Clear Outside, very handy little app), so hope to see some great things.  Might start with Cassiopeia and the nearby clusters.

😊
