Hi all

I've been lurking on the forum for a while and thought I should introduced myself.  My family bought me a Celestron Astromaster 130EQ for my birthday back last summer but it seems to me that there have been no more than a handful of clear nights in Birmingham since then!  Nevertheless, the few nights I have managed to get out have rekindled my childhood interest in astronomy.  I've already learned a lot by browsing the forum and look forward to learning much more.

Does anyone know what accessory I need to make the clouds go away?

Cheers

Mark.

Welcome aboard :)

If youre waiting for a clear night, you can normally bank on it being on the night of a full Moon :D I think the sky does that sometimes just to rub it in.. "fine here you go, a night with no clouds - but im going to stick a really bright thing in the sky to blot everything else out"...lol.

Welcome from Land Down Under

As leaving for work around 4-30 this morning, perfect clear non light polluted skies over head

Observed the conjunction of Venus and Saturn, about 10 degrees above eastern horizon

Observed CRUX and Scorpio as well
