It was a calm night with pretty good seeing and PHD was playing quite well.  Ignore the header at the top of the PHD screen.....I fired up the system with the ASI-290 / UO 80mm / AP900 configuration and it guided beautifully with the 50mm guide scope so I had not saved a new configuration when I did the screen shot.  Seeing is typically the main reason for poor guiding from my experience.  Whenever I get a night like that I save a screenshot to remind me that it is probably not my kit.    The old CI-700 still surprises me with how well it still works even though it is almost 25 years old.  (^8

This is an imagers dream, it looks like it means business. Those red accents are awesome, there’s something about Red on astro gear that looks so good. I’m sure it’s technical specs are just as awesome, the mount and tripod with their seemingly short stature seem as stable as a tree trunk.

Hide the new eyepiece and stick an old one in the focuser - the skies might clear then Dave

It's a similar story here if it's any consolation. I still have a scope out there but the chances of seeing anything through it look very slim indeed

My 10 inch  Stella Lyra dripping wet with dew, just managing to clear the neighbours' fence for a fantastic view of Saturn. I got to see the shadow of the rings for the first time ever and the Cassini division was nice and clear too.

Got Trinity the Tak (FS128) out tonight after weeks of inactivity..

A very heavy dew tonight, (you can see the condensation on the scope tube) although the big dewshield did it's job and the objective stayed clear..

Nice to see a decently long dew shield on a refractor. Many are rather too short to do the job

That is a large refractor! if i run into an FS128 in the classifieds its a sure bet I will be giving my 102 a big brother.

I got my skymax 180 out last night for the first time in 3 months or so. I do like this scope. Although the seeing was as bad as I think I’ve ever seen. Jupiter Saturn and the moon were fizzing wobbly blobs. Not worthy of an observing report I thought I’d put a couple of pics up here instead.

A certified planet killer, I had the 150 though they do take their time cooling. That 180 must take a good 1.5 hrs to equalize, I must say I’m a little smitten with your mount, what mount is it? it looks great!.

The mount is an AOK AYO ii, which I bought off here and sent off to AOK to get encoders fitted so I could use it with my Nexus DSC. Plus AOK's optional extra handle. It works well. Luckily my Skywatcher AZ-EQ6 extension bar fits the AYO ii's hole.
