ScouseSpaceCadet
No fancy poses 'ere... A very rough polar and one star alignment then straight to Saturn before the clouds hit. First time out with an EQ mount. 😀 (Edit)Well the clouds rolled in so fancy pose added...🙄 Edited August 9, 2021 by ScouseSpaceCadet Fancy pose...
cfinn
Taking some flats before a short imaging session last night. I thought it made for a nice photo with the ghostly glow from the flat panel and the twilight sky in the background.

Now after lots of practice the big boys gets setup, and APed in around 20 mins. And starts shooting. Then I do the smaller one in another 20. So not too bad 🤪

John
Hoping that the sky stays clear for some gas giant observing later. TMB/LZOS 130mm F/9.2 triplet on the T-Rex mount:

Generally clear currently but quite a lot of cloud masses billowing around the horizons. I'll make the most of the clear bits !. Seeing is steady. Transparency moderate.
markse68
2 scopes out tonight- first light with new filters on M13 (gotta start somewhere) and the dob for the gas giants (looking forward to Io transit a bit later) and Dubhe is looking hopeful tonight- seeing is good that side of the sky but pants to the south so far, but between clouds the transparency is pretty decent here Need to get back out to hopefully see some Perseids! Highburymark
TSA-120 out tonight for views of the gas giants. Seeing only 6/10., but nice detail on both planets - first comparison I’ve been able to make between Pentax XW5 and Delite 4 - both eyepieces gave pretty much identical views once magnification and fov taken into consideration.

Similar experiences here with the gas giants Mark. Seeing could have been a bit better but still enjoyable. Clouded out now though so the transit of Io will have to happen with one onlooker less
markse68
That's a shame John- the seeing really steadied here as Jupter reached altitude and Io traversing the limb was a very beautiful sight 34 minutes ago, John said: Similar experiences here with the gas giants Mark. Ags
First and possibly last outing of the ZS66 on the AZ-GTI. The mount is in last chance saloon, one false move and it's all over for it. Edited August 13, 2021 by Ags 1
