Hi guys,

I got interested in the nightsky ever since I did a course on the scientific revolution. I am a history student from the Netherlands and I got my first telescope about a month ago. Stargazing is more difficult than I thought it would be, but I'm enjoying it very much. I already saw jupiter and some of its moons, which was very thrilling. (Especially when one considers the historical value of jupiters moons. Yes I'm nerdy :) ) I own a powerseeker 70EQ and with it came a 20mm and a 4mm lense.

Do you guys think it would be wise to invest in other lenses as well?

Talk to you soon,

Eric

Hi Eric and welcome the stargazers lounge :)

As regards eyepieces I think I would recommend perhaps thinking about upgrading the scope before i spent too much cash on an eyepiece collection myself.

Upgrading eyepieces will never give you the same jump in performance that a scope upgrade will.

Just my 2p's worth :)

Enjoy the forums.
