Hello from a Pommie living in Oz. I used to live near Guildford in the UK but have been living here in Australia since March 2008.

I've only been stargazing for a couple of years so not much experience. I have an 5" and an 8" Dobsonian. I recently acquired a 90mm Mak on an EQ2 mount.

I have dabbled a little with my Canon 1000D DSLR but don't have tracking so nothing more than snapshots so far. I'm contemplating getting a motor for the EQ2 so I can do longer exposures. Not sure though. AP takes up too much time and money!

Thanks for the warm welcome all.

Ha ha, this place is nothing like the Gold Coast! That's about 2 hours drive south of here. Here is much quiter, very little high rise, more family friendly.

It is a lovely part of the world here, if a little too quiet.

There is much to miss about England but not English winters!

Sara, I looked a your website via your IIS post. That is some rig you have!
