Just a quick post to say hello, and congratulations on having such a useful forum!


I dabbled in observational astronomy a while back but then sold the underused kit to fund my Nikon Acquisition Syndrome. It's time to return though so I've bought a 102mm refractor and am eagerly awaiting clear skies. I'm lucky because astronomy is also my career; I've worked as an astronomy journalist for various organisations and now run the At-Bristol Planetarium -- where the stars always shine, no matter the weather outside!


I'm keen to use my telescope for astrophotography, so will no doubt be dropping in a lot to ask for tips...

Hi Lee and welcome to the forum. There is a lot of help and experience available for any budding astrophotographer so you're in good company!
