Dissecting the Triplet.

Hi All,

I tried an experiment a couple of nights ago and shot 2.5 hours of luminance in Yves' ODK14/SX H36 and added it to my existing Triplet shot in the TEC140. The TEC image had 9.5 hours L and 13.5 hours in all. A partial application of the new data, which wasn't as deep as the long TEC run, still allowed me to boost the image scale and reduce noise when shown in large formats. So here are the components!

It's confirmed, I think, that a smaller scope is fine for colour collecting to use with a larger.

Lovely result Olly. Did you use registar to combine the data from the different focal lengths?

Indeed so, though I do the application of the co-registered image in Ps to control the percentage contributions and soft blending.
