Im 24, and i notice that most people i have met in this hobby are a few years older than me.

How odd: my experience has been exactly the opposite! :)

But then, you are in your Vega year, whilst I am in my Merak year; when I first got interested in this hobby, the light of Sirius was around the same age as I. :D

Aside: isn't it nice how the poll graph now makes a classic bell-shaped distribution curve!

Worry, when you can measure your lifetime in units of:

Saturn return - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

<ducking> :D

I've had a couple of those already, so it seems. Now waiting for my first Uranus return, if I live that long. Funny thing that: if we were living on Uranus (or - to be more practicable - somewhere on one of its moons) - we'd all still be waiting to blow out that first candle! :)

Hi,

I'm in the 38-47 age group but my astronomy interests started around the age of 7 or 8. Also, family and career took priority during my 20s to mid-30s. I became active in the hobby in 2005 when I was 37 and am currently making up for lost time.
