  1. Lovely capture, proms are certainly looking good.
  2. Set your callipers to 5mm and count the number of thread peaks, should be six including the one you start on for the 1mm pitch of the adapter. Difficult to say about the diameter difference.
  3. Lovely image, got some nice detail that more time will enhance.
  4. Excellent work John, the stars are fine.
  5. I have the Pegasus V2, runs perfectly through EKOS. Haven't needed to use their own software.
  6. Looks good Carole, stars are a bit overpowering though.
  7. By the way, to the opening post. SXCCD cameras are good.
  8. Thanks for the explanation, trouble is they also have the Rayleigh limit.....for my scope Dawes is 1.01 and Rayleigh is 1.2 So Dawes is saying I can use my SXCCD Trius 694 but Rayleigh says no.
  9. Just had a quick read about the Dawes limit, seems like its down to how good seeing is and how good your eyesight is. Makes it sound like it's more important for observing.
  10. Should work fine but your guiding has to be very good. You can even stack up power mates.
  11. This Ccd suitability calculator will help you find what will work best for your scope. https://astronomy.tools/calculators/ccd_suitability
  12. Conditions may not be great but the images certainly are. Well done.
  13. Not sure, I've done it a few times but it depends on each image.
  14. Wonderful image. Not sure what you can do about the cropping. For the gradients/colour cast you can try DBE in PixInsight, maybe Background neutralisation and a few other tweaks.
  15. Could be the filter, it may be susceptible to halos at just that specific wavelength the star emits. I got one that doubles in size with Sii filter, all other stars stay the same.
  16. You've done really well with a "beginners" scope on such an unwieldy looking set up. Well done.
