  2. Hi welcome to SGL from Pete in Bedfordshire 🙂
  3. Huge looking group, will look very impressive when it fully rotates around. If we ever get any clear skies again!
  4. I noticed this group on spaceweather.com this morning, looks very impressive. It's not an effect I have managed to see yet
  5. As has been said, it is a more than respectable image. Especially considering aperture and where Jupiter is positioned in the sky. It is well past its best. As for WinJupos, it is superb. The key really is get your image scale to the optimum level, then you capture multiple images and combine them giving you a much smoother finished image. It obviously still relies on good seeing conditions for the data capture and it is plenty of work to measure and combine the images. I generally only use it if i think the conditions are worth it, but i should use it more i think.
  6. Very nice, not an easy capture despite the brightness. I don't think you are missing too much data, tricky to process due to the brightness . I imaged it of Friday with my Astronomik 807 filter.
  7. I would not sell the scopes, but my bino's get used so much more than the scopes.
  8. Just so much cloud the last few days, weeks, sorry i mean months 🙂 Thanks for sharing the Fireball video, it is the only Geminid i have seen. An excellent capture, looked a beauty!
  9. That really is a especial winner, looks so life like fantastic!
  10. Thick cloud here for the last few days, so no chance of even a glimpse of them. Looking better tomorrow morning maybe, so hopefully might still fairly active. Sounds like you had an excellent view, especially with the Moon out of the way.
  11. Just found it this morning (5.30), an easy spot in my Skymaster Pro 20x80's despite the windy hazy conditions. Large core and a slight hint of tail visible, the Mag 6-7 seemed about right to me. Clear skies permitting hopefully a few more views to come.
  12. Looking forward to getting a view soon hopefully, some excellent reports coming through of it.
  13. Fantastic view, very special to witness such a cool event. Enjoyed watching some of your other you tube videos as well Tiago, very informative. Makes me want to try EEVA with my Asi224mc and C9.25 sometime.
  14. Thanks for the heads up. Clouds permitting this would be fascinating to watch, very tricky to image i would guess though.
  15. 39 DEGREES!!!! We will all get nose bleeds 🙂 It will be great to see Jupiter away from the rooftops!
  16. Nice images to end on Trevor, been some fine images on here of both Jupiter and Saturn despite the conditions.
  17. Looks so calm and peaceful in the photo. A lovely view.
  18. Looks pretty good to me. I would try say a little over exposed though, even though the phase is showing very nicely. As for anything else other than the phase, that is very difficult, especially considering the current position in the sky.
  19. A fine image with the new scope, I have thinking about going in the other direction scope-wise. Just thinking a 300-350mm Newt my be a big for me to handle on my own in a few years though.
  20. An interesting feature there, Jupiter really is such a dynamic object to view always changing in appearance.
  21. Some nice detail visible there, good to see the GRS on show.
  22. Well done Reggie, seems like ages since i saw a single transit let alone a double! You can only work with the conditions in front of you, so a good end result there i think.
