Just thought id say high and introduce myself. My names chris and recently purchased my nikon d40 and seem to be getting into takes shots of the moon and stars :hello2:

I hope i can learn a few things from this forum and hope I can show you some interesting pics :hello2:

Hi Steady and welcome to the forum.

I don't suppose that is an image of the famous 'super' moon. If you had read the comments in the papers on this phenomena, you would have been mistaken for believing that you would need an extra wide lens to get the whole thing in the one shot given that it was meant to be within touching distance!:hello2:

Glad to see your another Nikon person like me and look forward to seeing more of your images.
