Night Sky Planisphere from David Chandler

In my first post I asked about the Night Sky Planisphere - whether it was recommended and, if so, where to get it from.

Talitha kindly replied "I highly recommend the Chandler planisphere but don't know where you'd get one in the UK (i'm in the States)."

I eventually managed to track down a very few UK retailers. The cheapest was Langton Info Services (The Night Sky, 50°-60° (Large) : ISBN 1891938088 : David Chandler : EAN 9781891938085) at £20.51 (Good protective packaging and quick delivery). Damned expensive for a planisphere but it does have several advantages over a free downloadable planisphere.

50-60 degrees North - not just "Northern Hemisphere" (other versions also available)

I use a Phillips Planisphere for Lat 51.5 N costing £7.99 from Waterstones or WH Smiths
