  2. I like the Baader Orthoscopic as well but I think they have only got a similar eye relief and the BST Explorer Dual ED eyepiece again I think similar eye relief also how would any of these lenses compair to my standard SW 28mm LET lense far better or only a bit better just curious garry
  3. I do wear glasses but not when looking through the eyepeice the glasses seem to get in the way

  8. Hi I have just bought myself a skywatcher Evostar 80ed pro and want some advice on a few things I tried it the other night I connected my canon eos 500d to it I used a cannon tring adaptor and a t ring to 2" focuser adaptor the one with the beveled edge so it cant fall out of the focuser I had to crank back the focuser nearly all the wayout to get it to focus in the camera live view but it was ok and took a good shot of the moon I have other camera adaptors to conver the 2 " focuser to 11/4 and then use a t ring to 11/4 but have read that it is best to use 2" if you can ? is that right I also was thinking of buying the skywatcher focal 0.85 reducer I understand that this screws onto the focuser draw tube then you fit a dslr m48 ring adaptor for the cannon the focal reducer reduces the magnification slightly so can you use a barlow with this setup you can get barlows for 11/4 no problem but a barlow to fit in the focal reducer I am not sure So if I bought the focal reducer can I use a barlow if so where does it go and which one do you recomend Or may be there might be some otherway to increase magnification

  10. I have bought a few cheap webcams and will try them with my 9x50 finderscope I have no adaptors for them and will have to make something to get them to work I could not figure out how the webcam focused with the lense removed but now I can understand that you use the finderscopes lenses to achive focus and may be adjust the webcams position as well I have just bought a Skywatcher Evostar 80ED DS-Pro OTA but not yet used it I was going to just see if I could get a webcam to this for guiding , it might not be suitable I donk know I am going to buy the Skywatcher Startravel 80 OTA for guiding and use maybe use a QHY5 when funds permit
  11. I have a skywatcher 9x50 scope thanks so you are saying you use the fiderscope lene to get the focus because you have took the original lens off the webcam
  12. I have bought a cheap webcam just to play with the front has a lense that you screw in or out to get the focus I have unscrewed the lense and can see the cmos or ccd chip but It will not focus on anything now so can somebody tell me when you remove the lense and convert it using an adaptor and all you see is the cmos or ccd chip with no lense how the hell does it focus whe it is inserted in you finder scope
  13. 60 seconds thats one full turn of the wheel how did you align the mount
