In an inspired punt, Santa brought me the one Morpheus needed to complete the set (and the only brand new one I have). Also known here as the "they cost how much?)

Very nice, but look at those gaps, will need filling to stop them getting dusty!

My main arrival of interest is my new Ras Pi 5. It arrived on Friday, a bit ahead of it's pre-order schedule. The MD got it me for Chrimbo so it was good timing.

It's going to relieve my Pi 4 from ist's current duty as a remotely sited IP Camera server, which will then be used in my soon to be started all-sky camera project. Actually I'll be using the server on the Pi 5 to disseminate the All-Sky camera imagery (hopefully). So they'll both play a role!

a heated seat for my observatory chair.

Just a heads up, I had to swap in a higher amperage (same voltage) power supply for a similar seat heater several years ago.  The one it came with was just too anemic to do much heating.

Great to have the AZ75 back, this time to stay, courtesy of Mum and Dad 😊. I’ve popped a dual format saddle on one side to see how it handles the FS-128 as an easier option for quicker sessions to get more use out of the scope. Seems fine!

Astro Essentials 32mm eyepiece, now all I need is a clear sky!

Update: finally got to test this out tonight, not ideal with a bright moon but seems to perform excellently, very happy with it!

You'll like that one, Z - one of the best in the range. It suits my F/7 Starfield 102 perfectly.

Heated seat sound good - with the possible risk of nodding off if the seeing isn't too good 🥱

I always get an Astro notebook for the coming year but this time Mrs Tomato excelled herself and got one more suited to imaging:

I also got a little crystal solar system paperweight, if you look closely there are a couple of huge comets heading our way..
