I recently decided that viewing images on the internet is not enough and bought used 8" Newtonian telescope. Given that my only experience with observing the night sky is from my boyhood using 10x50 binoculars (and small 60mm refractor a year ago) the beginning was not quite easy, but with every clear night I'm learning new things!

Hi Gifmacher and welcome to SGL, your 8" Newtonian will be a big step up from your 10x50 binoculars and 60mm refractor, enjoy the journey. May be a little difficult at first, any problems just post your inquiry into the relevant sub sections of the forum for help :)
