Hi All

I am new here and enjoying it so far.  I have always had an interest in the sky above me but until recently haven't done more than stare up wondering in awe about it.  So I have started to do more than just look.  I have been out and bought myself a nice start scope and have been reading and watching interesting information on Star Gazing.

I will be reading plenty of posts here to learn more about this fascinating subject and when the time is right will no doubt have more to say for myself.

Hi and a warm welcome to SGL. You're  on the right site to get all the Astro help you need.

I would recommend that you download Stellarium, it's free, and it will acquaint you with objects in the night sky. Also, if you don't have it already Google Sky have a very good app for a smartphone.
