Hi;  My first post on this Forum; hope to become a regular:  I have been interested in astronomy for yonks, but due to time / family / work!! constraints I have not allowed myself the time to indulge properly.........until now  .  Have owned the odd cheap Newtonian Reflector and refractors over the years, but now I`m finalising my choice of SCT & mount + a couple of lenses to get me under way.

The last scope I bought was a very good Spotting Scope for birdwatching + Manfrotto tripod; I think my wife thinks the Astro scope is going to be just a small variation on that.......is she in for a surprise!!

Will keep you posted on my final choice (and wifes reaction!)
