I've just noticed something quite cool about another raw video I shot tonight. Seems like I caught either a bird? Maybe a satellite? Too small for a plane maybe? I don't know how to find out? Check it out at the 1.01 minute in the video.

Nice video Ryan, maybe it was a bird at the 1:01 mark, or a bat perhaps?

went out with the scope tonight, although the sky wasnt good at all, i think the webcam i have is rubbish for videoing Jupiter,it cant lower the contrast down enough to get the features of jupiter against the black backgroud, depite me turning the contrast all the way down. anyway, im not too fused about it. On a plus note, i finally managed to get my RDF alligned, only a small issue but it was blummin anoying me!  Also the scope behaved its self and track jupiter nicely for a few hours before i came in.

Jupiter 15-02-2016 with Moons Io Nearest Jupiter and Europa.

Great result again Ryan! I've no idea how you pulled out a result like that with last night's conditions. My camera barely made out the 2 main belts, and the image was generally a fuzzy mess. Files were only good for the recycle bin lol. Fab job :)

Just out of interest what software are you using to capture? If your webcam will sync up to Firecapture im sure you would be able to manage the exposure and contrast settings.

Cheers Vicky. I was rather pleased with the results considering the terrible conditions!

Just up and about after a rather tiring Galloway star camp.

Excellent atmosphere and friendly faces with some new ones too. Really enjoyed it and Sunday night was well worth the trip with over 70 observations over the night.

High lights were the spiral arms and bridge in M51 just stunning, cats eye neb and the image scale of everything

Wow you lot have been busy too much cloud for me last night so went to bed early.

Lovely capture Paul I got one too will post later. The video is stunning Ryan lovely and clear. I think it's a bird as bats will still be hibernating I would think either way lovely
