Excellent down jacket.

Recommended Posts

Just lovely, outmatches jackets costing 3 times as much. Had mine for two winters. Just like wearing a sleeping bag, even down to minus 15.

2 zipped side pockets, one zipped chest pocket and detachable hood. Nice and light. You'll be needing something warm for those brrrrrrr chilly nights,

Don't think that you'll find warmer or better for the price,

Nick.

I got one of those on sale last year when I got caught out on a freezing day. picked it up from one of their shops for less than £50 it quite surprised me how warm it was and at how it still looks good a year and much use later (except for the colour)

I use a fairly thick Rab Duvet which I bought about 8 years ago. It was expensive but well worth it. It was one of the last made in UK before they started having them made in China. I tried to get my wife one about 4 years back, the shop in Leeds told me they stopped dealing with Rab as their product were now very poor, sleeves different lengths and stuff like that.

I find that minus 20 is no problem for me, even in good boots my feet feel it first.

Alan.

When my brother realised I was into Astronomy he donated his Rab duvet coat to me. It has been used at Kielder starcamps down to -10 with just a t shirt under it with a thick layer of frost on the hood. Gave up and came in when the eq6 mount motor froze solid. Memories of clear nights.
