Like others ( it seems) i was given a telescope as a prezzy and now I'm trying to work out how to use it, what are its capabiities and therefore how to gain max use and pleasure from it. So far the weather has been unkind, but we have seen the moon and Jupiter. I am trying to owkr out how to obtain an image using my Canon SLR. I have bought the T2 ring and a 1.25 adapter, but cannot seem to get anything into focus - why?

Hi Rob welcome to SGL, like others have pointed out goto getting stasrted with imaging and post what telescope you have and camera and they will have you up and running in no time.

good luck and looking forward to seeing your pictures in the near future.
