BargeGazer Posted July 6, 2012 Share Posted July 6, 2012 Hi, I'm David, a retired scientist who last looked seriously through a telescope some 45 years ago at school. While I went into a different field of research, I maintained interest in all things Astronomic but limited myself to naked eye and some binocular scanning of the heavens on a good night.Now I have taken the plunge again and eauiped myself with a Skywatcher 127 Mak on an EQ3 GOTO. Why that one? I needed something compact for storage as I spend half of the year on board our ancient Dutch Barge, hence need something not too large and easily portable. (Hence "BargeGazer"). I am France based.I am sure that I will have many questions to start with but hopefully will later be able to contribute to some answers.Glad to be here and look forward to the future.
