  1. Incredible! How do you manage going from the eyepiece to the sketch. Do you use a redlamp at the sketch to keep your eyes adapted? What ever your technique, it works!
  2. I kicked the solar panel tire when I powered my observatory. Finally just ran power from my mains. Thankfully I already had power 1/3 of the way to an outlet for when I needed it near where I parked. I used wire that was UV and direct burial rated. Also have a car battery hooked to a trickle charger for when I might loose power.
  3. The film everyone mentioned is actually very affordable. Compared to your eyesight, it's cheap. I paid very little for a sheet to make a filter for my 8" reflector and the finder scope.
  4. I'm am always in awe, and a little jealous when I see talent like this. Excellent work!
  5. Your images are so crisp and sharp that the fine details are incredible!
  6. Yes, an excellent image! What mount is that "Star Cannon" hanging on?
  7. Those are so clear and crisp, I think it wouldn't take much more to pick up any reflection from the Lunar lander! Excellent images
  8. I'm always amazed with the amount of activity you don't see on the surface in WL! Excellent images!
  9. I hope to get a Lunt. If I could just sell a few of my unnecessary older toys and things I'm not really using. BIG fishing reel. (Shark rod) Motorcycle. Kidney.
  10. It is meant as a joke. Around here, I do close to half the cooking. SWMBO tells everyone she did the first 20 years cooking, I'm doing the second. But now I start thinking, we've started the third double decade, she should be cooking again!😉
  11. I've been waiting patiently! It must be printed and stored on the Moon! Took about a month, but it's here!
  12. Yep, '50's! That was the decade I was born in! 😁
  13. This could fit in with the old joke amongst the country men over here. The wife said if I don't stop buying fishing equipment and guns she's going to leave me. I sure will miss her cooking.
  14. Amazing example of POWER! Thanks for your work to share it.
  15. Another welcome to the forum. You might be surprised how much you enjoy it too! This hobby is quite habit forming.
  16. Excellent! The first image shows Sol is getting active after the minimum!
  17. The sky was fair after yesterday's really intense thunderstorm to my East. I stood just looking at the sky for a bit, then took some single images of a scorpion crawling out of a river of milk. At 30 sec exposure the stars stretched a little, but it brought the milkyway out better.
  18. I've been following a group from Boca Chica about the launch. Seeing the images many took from boats and local beach, I can't help but wonder with all that fuel, what would have been the range for a RUD on the pad? There were some viewers who went to the Mexican side of the river that if I read correctly were only 2.8 miles away. Good for taking images, bad for shock wave and debris!
