  1. I've said it before, and will say it again, I do enjoy the looks of your view and the surrounding scenery! Pier looks nice too!
  2. Just a quick image before back to mowing. One thing for certain, it's summer here! And only going to get worse.
  3. 4am this morning, heading out to work. I had just enough time to sit down in the car when out of my peripheral vision I saw a brilliant meteor to the North East. It lasted long enough for me to turn my head and see it disappear! Lucky for me I'm on my side of the pond. If I had been on your side, sitting on the wrong side of the car, I would have missed it completely! 😁
  4. An incredible image and yes, I see a Horsehead too! I can't help but wonder what the ancients who looked and saw patterns that were familiar in the stars would think of the shapes that are imaged now.
  5. Just try explaining that one of your images might save the entire planet. Then all your money spent will be well worth it!
  6. Amazing! You have gotten very good at this with all the time and effort you've put in. It definitely shows!
  7. I would be quite pleased with a one shot image like that of Venus. Well done!
  8. I was able to watch it get close through my camera and telephoto lens, but lost it all in the sunrise before the event. To low on the horizon to get the scope low enough in the observatory. Should have taken it out and set it up on the tripod. I'm looking now for the emoji of a foot kicking my butt. 😔 This will have to do!
  9. If I'm reading this correctly at around 7am EDT this Wednesday the 17th, the Moon will pass in front of Jupiter. This time is for my location. The map shows it visible in just a small area of the UK. It's reappearance will be after sun up for my location. Unbelievably it's a day off for me!
  10. Incredible! How do you manage going from the eyepiece to the sketch. Do you use a redlamp at the sketch to keep your eyes adapted? What ever your technique, it works!
  11. I kicked the solar panel tire when I powered my observatory. Finally just ran power from my mains. Thankfully I already had power 1/3 of the way to an outlet for when I needed it near where I parked. I used wire that was UV and direct burial rated. Also have a car battery hooked to a trickle charger for when I might loose power.
  12. The film everyone mentioned is actually very affordable. Compared to your eyesight, it's cheap. I paid very little for a sheet to make a filter for my 8" reflector and the finder scope.
  13. I'm am always in awe, and a little jealous when I see talent like this. Excellent work!
  14. Your images are so crisp and sharp that the fine details are incredible!
  15. Yes, an excellent image! What mount is that "Star Cannon" hanging on?
  16. Those are so clear and crisp, I think it wouldn't take much more to pick up any reflection from the Lunar lander! Excellent images
  17. I'm always amazed with the amount of activity you don't see on the surface in WL! Excellent images!
