  1. Goodness, hope everyone is ok. Hopefully all Observatory staff have been evacuated too. Hope and pray the fire's will soon be under control.
  2. Welcome back and great that you're able to resume your hobby. Have fun.
  3. Brilliant news John, hope the replacement goes well. Be in time for the darker night's.
  4. There is great pleasure just looking at the equipment Jeremy, glad I'm not the only one, lol. Or I'm a very sad person who needs to get a life, lol.
  5. Telescope install today, just need to do some cable management tomorrow but pleased. Does anyone else love looking at nice telescope's, lol. I love the red bits, lol. I like red, lol. I just sat in my Observatory looking at all the work and beauty, lol.
  6. Great news Jeremy, I said you'd not regret it.
  7. I'd not heard of using Reflectix around the scope to help with dew/cool down. I've two fan's on the back of the 11inch XLT with a heated light shield and a large fan on the 12inch newt f4. Both seem to cope with dew and mirror/corrector plate fog.
  8. Brilliant work, nearly done. Be ready for those dark night's.
  9. Mine, Brightness 0.436 mcd/m2 Artif. bright. 265 μcd/m2 Ratio 1.55 Bortle class 4
  10. I used a stock 10ft by 6ft and altered that. It was in the garden when I moved here.
  11. Great work, enjoy the darker night's with less set up time, lol 🌑🪐
  12. Spectroscopy book arrived, some bedtime reading. Here's hoping I'll get better results with my low tech star analyser 100, lol.
  13. Brilliant Jeremy, you'll not regret it. Smooth operation from now on. Roll on some clear skies. I've been waiting for clear skies this last ten days to polar align the mount in my obsy. According to the forecast August is out 😭😭😭
  14. Not astro painting, lol. My recent creation, don't laugh, lol.
  15. Just Heard this is being delivered tomorrow, lol. Can't wait. I've a star analyser 100. Managed to get a decent spectrum of Vega before. So want to delve deeper into spectroscopy. Added the spectral chart of Vega.
  16. That reminds me, I need a kettle in my Observatory.
  17. My electric body warmer, lol. Particularly in the winter.
