  1. Lunt 60mm DS and Zwo Asi 178mm false colour added in Photoshop CS2
  2. Just found out it's aliens, caught them on my security camera, lol. They don't look very nice, lol. 20200913204138000.mp4
  3. Extra terrestrials have landed and spoken to Boris Johnson probably. Couldn't resist.
  4. Thanks, was thinking of getting a security bar to go across the middle of the door as well. Definitely a cat magnet, lol.
  5. Just when I thought it was all over, had to change out the pier electrics. The extension block I'd bought and installed wasn't very good and began to sizzle inside the switch that turns it on. Really bad considering it was new. Anyway I'd rather be safe and no fire's so I've built myself another socket block with three double sockets and installed that today. Also Carole was right about the step inside the dome. I've nearly fallen down it a couple of times so I've also filled that in. I guess there's always a version 2 to a dome build with little tweak's, lol. You only know if your design works with good old run downs to get out the gremlins, lol.
  6. Thanks, appreciate it. I'll have to view some YouTube vids on RGB stacking in Photoshop. I've got an old copy, CS2 should be ok.
  7. Both RoR and dome signage in place, the Phoenix Complex now had first light and complete for now, lol.
  8. Thanks everyone, appreciate your comments and encouragement. Upwards and onwards, lol.
  9. Hi, you can see the cloud formation more clearly here in my RGB image around Arsia Mons.
  10. Hi all, I'd posted my mono RGB files on here as I'm struggling to stack an RGB image. Tooth_dr put then together for me. Still a huge learning curve with LRGB imaging. First time I've used a filter wheel. C11XLT, Zwo ASI 178mm and 2.5x powermate. Taken at f25.
  11. Awwww, thanks, could you please send me details of your workflow for this. Would be really helpful. Tweaked the image a little.
  12. Hi peps, I'm struggling to combine my recent LRGB images of Mars from last night. First time I've ever used a filter wheel and got to the point of getting reasonable data. How do you then combine these to make a colour image? Many thanks for looking.
  13. I'd agree, it corresponds with where Arsis Mons is according to the image from sky Safari.
  14. quick rubbish image, not from the RGB I took but a quick process from my Zwo Asi 224mc. Can just make out the disturbance,
  15. I think it was localised weather pattern on Mars, didn't appear to be anywhere else on the planet, probably localised around Olympus Mons. As it's one of the highest points around that region that would suggest cloud.
  16. Hi, I took some RGB image's last night too. I did notice something odd, particularly in the blue filter on screen.
  17. Recovered on is a Neq6 whereas the one from Toddmodan is an eq6 so perhaps not.
  18. Just a thought, wouldn't a second hand dome be just as cheap as trying to build one. I picked up my 2.7m dome for £1500. I'd hazard a guess it'll cost similar building your own.
  19. Welcome to SGL, great scope to learn with. Lot's of expertise here so ask any questions you have.
  20. At the moment it's negligible with only slight evidence at the top of the dome so I'm pleased as I had significant condensation before with a solid base. Also fitting the two vents into the floor I think helps. I had a dehumidifier running 24/7 before but that broke and I've not replaced that as I wanted to see if the new design flooring with ventilation underneath would reduce the condensation to the extent I'd not need a dehumidifier. At the moment it seems to be working.
