Just a thought, have you tried stacking without using masters of your calibration frames and using the calibration subs? -
Very nice image, still looking a tad green. I noticed when imaging with my qhy183c the initial stretch was always quite green. Nothing a quick levels adjustment won't fix.

With such a long focal length and a static tripod you're always going to have trailing, no matter how short the exposure.

This is a great image. I've thought about this target myself, but the results won't compare to this from my skies.

Yes this one is very difficult, at least I really struggled to bring much out of my data when I shot it. Well done.

With the run of clear skies we had last week I only managed to take advantage of 2 of them due to work etc. Both of these have 70 x 30 second subs for rgb and around 40 x 300 second subs in Ha under the near full moon. IC1805 and C11

I tried this the other night but I'd set up too close to the neighbours fence so couldn't get it. I will next time though. Lovely image by the way.

I look forward to every clear night, moon or not. There's not enough clear, moonless nights here to be picky. I just choose my targets more carefully.

The forecast for the weekend is looking like a great test for my astrodon 3nm Ha filter. And I've got 5 days off work so should be fun

I've always used an ADU of 18000 in APT for my flats using a qhy183c/qhy183m. My last set of flats had a histogram peak near the right hand side, but they still worked perfectly fine. I've thought a out lowering the ADU but I'm not going to try and fix what isn't broken.

Save up for the heq5. It has a high payload capacity and better motors

There's usually around a 10% discount on most things. If you look at the vendor list, I'm sure if you email one of them they'd be happy to bring it with them if they have it in stock

Here is my dual setup. Flt98 and QHY183M on the left. Wo star 71 and qhy183c on the right for colour. The star 71 is sat atop a skywatcher guide scope mount for alignment to my main main imaging scope. I use app to combine both sets of data.

I hope that's not the reason. I've not long had my star71 re-collimated (sent back to FLO, then done by Es Reid). But I'm not too sure what else could be the cause, maybe tilt? Would tilt show this sort of aberration?

A beautiful galaxy image. I notice some of your stars are blue on one side and red in the other. Do you know what causes this as I'm having the same thing happen with my star 71 and qhy183c.

I'm really not surprised this good weather we've had has come to a sudden stop. The cloud tax on these must be high, especially for the good price I got them for. Astrodon LRGB filters.
