  1. Well it's great to be back in the mood for astroimaging again. A few shots using a Nikon DSLR and 180mm/F2.8 lens between the clouds, nothing spectacular, but feels really great to get back into it again. Here they are!

    Like that a lot.
  3. Here is the image I get, I would prefer the full circle image. I don’t think this is a fault, but due to the supplied 2.5mm lens?
  4. I've been following this thread a lot myself. I dont think that looks too bad for a FF camera.
  5. I was expecting the circular view that was on the website but instead I’m getting cut off portion top and bottom. It has the 2.5mm lens. Is this normal? Thanks!
  6. Fantastic job. Good to see you back.
  7. Thanks to the forum I was able to find a time to observe these. 2:35am this morning. Nikon D800E with Tokina 28-70, propped up in grass. 1s exposures. I also got them in my meteor camera but due to existing settings it stopped recording at 7seconds 😡
  8. Love the detail in the bubble, that’s a superb result.
  9. I’m not that familiar with occultation imaging but I’ve heard a bit about it, that’s a big improvement. Im getting meteors down to +4/4.5 magnitude with my 902/8mm F0.8 lens, and the 910 gets you down to two magnitudes fainter again!
  10. Those are pretty stunning analogue cameras! I’m using 902H2 and still useful for meteor detection. I’m hoping to get a 910 someday.
  11. Really interesting. I have noticed this before on many occasions but never passed any remarks on it only to note it’s presence. 👍🏼.
  12. That’s not a quickie Mick 😂 Reallygood job
  13. I’ll give it another few goes. It’s a good time of year to try these things out 👍🏻
  14. Really really nice brian.
  15. Very crisp! Great shots, look forward to more.
  16. I also have a set of 2” L Ha Oiii Sii filters by Optolong. I ‘think’ the Oiii is actually better with regards halos than the Baader.
  17. Dan I have a Baader 7nm Ha filter and the rest Sii Oiii LRGB. The Ha isn’t parafocal with the RGB so don’t feel tied to the same brand if that was your thinking. I also have an Optolong 7nm Ha filter and it performs well.
  18. /Pendant As the rest of the posters have indicated you don’t need to waste time aligning on a random bright star when you can align on your target directly ie platesolve. I dont do an initial star alignment either and have no issues
  19. I’ll check that later. Thanks.
  20. Sorry if this is a simple Q, but how do you do that. The drop down box for algorithms on mine is greyed out.
  21. Hi Dean I hope you dont mind, I gave it run through PS this morning: 1) Colour noise reduction 2) Colour noise reduction and Gradient Xterminator to balance background colour
  22. That’s mighty impressive! I’ve taken a good few images with a 1000d and a 250px. It is a good combination and you are definitely getting a lot out of it.
  23. There is so much detail in there! That's a great job. Have you tried using the Canon Raw Filter in PS, and then the colour noise slider - if you move it up to 20-25 it should remove some of the colour noise in the background!
  24. Bresser replied - new blue being shipped tomorrow. Impressive service
