  1. That looks truly amazing Steve. Anyone have any suggestions for restoring a white dome? Steve
  2. Yes T10 belt 16mm wide and the sprocket 40 tooth. I purchased a second hand 12v car wiper motor with a mounting configuration that suited my Dome. But I had to add a motor controller to reduce the motor speed. You need to slow the motor down, so that the Dome completes a full rotation in around 90 seconds. Steve
  3. Hi Gina That is exactly the type of solenoid I require for dead locking my shutter.....When I automate it this summer. Steve
  4. I agree with Anne, yours is the newer 2.2 Pulsar Dome and Anne & mine are the older 2.1 Pulsar Domes. When you assemble your dome, if can take some photos of the wall and dome configuration I could possibly help on how to modify it. Steve
  5. I stuck my neck out and purchased the RE version. It's 20 years old and being a diy nut, I've given it some abuse and it's never let me down. Btw it's a standard Jacobs chuck and there should be spares available. Steve
  6. Hi James, The one positive note that we do have some lovely spring days in February. Hopefully they will coincide with you being free to glue down the EPDM. Steve
  7. That must be the poshest pier adaptor I have had the pleasure in seeing. It's a great feeling when you start to assemble your astro equipment into the Obsy. The end is in sight.........When I say end, it never ends. There is always something to add, modify or remove. The upside is you are actually using the Obsy whilst you are doing it Steve
  8. With the size of that reel, Gina. St Pauls' comes to mind Steve
  9. Yes it was and unfortunately a very good site gone to the great t'interweb in the sky ? Steve
  10. ......Brewery James I can't believe no one as asked what you are brewing? Steve
  11. Mine's not too good either. A gigantic Aldi warehouse is being constructed 2 miles away. Don't know hat effect this will have on my imaging exploits. Steve
  12. Hi and a very warm welcome to the Lounge. Very nice images Steve

    Hello

Hi Bryan and a very warm welcome to the Lounge Steve
  14. Thanks Gina, It's still working as well as it did from day one. The phase two stage - Automating the shutter has been more of a head scratcher. Hoping to start this next spring. Watch this space Steve
  15. Like it, anything to ease the work load is good in my book. I'd certainly look at incorporating a garage door motor to open and close the roof, in the future. But, first I would want to be in there observing and imaging. Have you had any time using the Obsy for imaging? Steve
  16. Wow! 3D printing is coming on leaps and bounds. Equipment to print that 10 years ago would have cost 10's of thousands of pounds Steve
  17. You must have shares in tool station / screwfix. I haven't seen that many clamps for a while. What would you call a "gathering of clamps" On a serious note, I've been following this thread since day one and have been willing you tho complete for the New Year. A superb build James and awaiting the "first light" Steve
  18. Dave, I know it's off topic, but what options do you recommend regards the Ooznest Workbee. Steve
  19. Great set-up Giorgio. I would love to move to say an Ubuntu controlled system. could this extend to a twin scope system. driving two ccd cameras, filterwheels, autofocusers and one mount. Steve
  20. Good luck with the CEM120 Ray. Can't wait for your initial test results and, of course, the first light. Steve
  21. Time lapse worked perfectly Miguel Looking forward to the build. You will not regret building it. Steve
  22. Thank you Steve, a most informative read and one I will apply to my future Pixinsight processing procedures. Steve
