Hello from Aberdeenshire

Hi,

I've spent a long time simply looking up at the night sky. I own binoculars and many years ago assembled a small reflector with plans from the JAS, my current telescope is a TAL2M and to be honest it has spent too long in the garage as it is a struggle to get it out and set-up. So I thought I'd join SGL to get the best from what I have.

Oldpink, it's been horrible lately: light pollution in the city is bad enough, but the haar is impossible to contend with.

Add to that the fact that soon it will hardly ever be fully dark and you can see the problems facing beginners like me! I'm not moaning, of course. Well, not much ...
