Hello All,

Off to collect a secondhand 10" dob on Friday, I have been very fortunate to have a fellow astronomer at work who has helped me work out what to buy rather than what to avoid!

Previous (and first) 'scope was a heritage 130p which I recommend for a beginner. Images of the moon were amazing, jupiter and its' 4 moons also easy. The eye pieces that come with it probably could be improved though.

The 10" dob is an old skyliner, just hope it'll fit in my Clio....

hi and welcome, good scope, i have a the 200p flex-tube dob, which when shut and with the base just fits into my mondeo, so unless your keeping at home i think your next purchase may be a bigger car! lol

Hmm, looks like I might be driving home with the boot up! I had planned to take the back seat out and fold the passenger seat flat... Its either that or tie sack trucks to the rear bumper for it to rest on and pull it home!
