Good afternoon from the Northeast of England.

I am a complete novice when it comes to astronomy and on the wrong side of 59

Changing age and changing hobbies. Always had a passing interest in the skies above but decided to do something about it so bought a Sky Watcher 127 Maksutov Synscan offa fleabay, practically brand new.

Have managed to eyeball Jupiter, and learnt lesson number one, shoulda bought an equatorial mount, but it didnt stop me having a cheesy grin.

BTW has anyone ever managed to mount a Skywatcher Alt-Azimuth mount to a Meade wedge lol lol

Is early days and wishing the weather would improve
