new solar setup, added a starwave 102 classic f11 to my rig, a lovely scope "thanks Gus" got it yesterday and its like brand new. image scale should be great with this little scope, ill show you if these clouds disappear.

Welcome to the starwave club charl.. think they're fantastic scopes! Looking forward to the images your going to post..! My starwave consistently throws up good images and visual views, im sure with your experience and that quark youll get some cracking rewarding time with it!

Very nice. Just googled the scope specs. At least we know who to blame weather wise. 

Sorry I don't know much about solar imaging. Do you slap an ND filter on the input and then various narrow band filters on the output. How d'yer use it in other words?

heres the firstlight, only 94 frames, in cloudy skys, I'm well impressed. trying to catch the spike at the mo but its raining but I'm not giving up . charl.

I'm liking this new scope, ive broken the cloud curse but it still raining but you have to give them chance to realize:happy7:

Looks very promising Charl. Saw the spike myself this morning in a rare gap, chucking it down now.

heres the best I could do with the spike through a rain filter sorry its not too good but could be the best I get today, had to have a big frame cul. I'm done for the day, happy with my first light with the conditions. its nice to have another f11 to play with I think where going to get on fine just got to think of a name for it. clear skys, charl.
