Always keep (other) eye out for Altair Scopes (mostly out of stock!) lol.
They are genuinely handsome looking beasts whatever...

D'you ever think of getting the MONO version of the ASI120 Cam?
(Easy to spend other folks' money!). But some free extra resolution?
Of course you may have to think about Newton's Rings and all...

thanks John, got some clear lastnight and got to try the classic on the moon and it performed well , nowhere as good as old faithfull but very promising. hope you have clear, charl.

thanks Chris, I have mate, but I'm saving up for a mighty camera something with cooling so I can use it for DS to, the asi120mc do do a good job for being a entery level cam but as you say the res it a bit low 920x1200 max and it do show the odd pixel on the darker bits. clear sky. charl.
