Cloudy here most of the morning and then broken cloud in the afternoon. Only really at around 5pm did the sky clear properly. I set up after lunch as there had been a few decent gaps that gave me hope I might be able to grab something. Took me a couple of hours to get the data for this set in between the clouds.

First up, white light full disks

Then switched to the ND3.8 and the QHY5 for some close ups. had to shoot a half dozen runs as clouds kept intruding :angry6:

What little experimentation I have been able to do indicates that the ND5 is still best for the DSLR based full disk images but the ND3.8 works well  for close ups. These were taken with a 2.5x barlow, UV/IR cut and #56 green filter. There is a bunny lower left middle, not some new spot formation :icon_rabbit:

Then on to Ca-K. Again cloud dodging so ditched a number of ser's before finally getting some I was happy with.

Finally AR2565/7 @2.5x in Ca-K

Forecast for the next couple of days looks vaguely promising so hopefully this will be the first of a few sessions this week. Mind you , the kids break for summer end of the week so the weather will no doubt take a nose dive.
