Hello! - Newbie from SW Ohio

Hello, SGL!

I'm from the Dayton/Cincy region of Ohio.
I am just now getting into astronomy (and astrophography) after a few years of fascination with the cosmos and science. I've done a fair deal of reading about cosmology, but I just  bought my first telescope this past weekend and am here to gain knowledge from you all. 

Oh, I bought a gently used Orion XT12 IntelliScope (Dobsonian). 

Although the tracking doesn't allow for ideal long-exposure photography, I bought the adapter for my Nikon d5200. It should be fun to learn with.
