Hi All,

I'm new here but i have been watching from some time. I just restarted my passion for astronomy(well, only watching). I started when i was just 10 years old with a self made long refractor. I mean real looong; 50mm objective and 1,3 m long OTA. Views where incredible, clean and crisp. I studied mainly the moon and venus, but some stars too. Well, years later i now own a 5" maksutov and enjoy every night i can with it under the stars in my backyard.

Hi C and welcome to SGL from just down the road from you. I think there is one other member from memory that lives in Romania that joined recently.I hope you enjoy your time with us and I look forward to seeing you join in with the forums on various topics. I too have a Mak amoung others and they are very good scopes.

Welcome to SGL C.

Interesting telescope you made. About f26 by my reckoning. Long indeed :grin:.

The Maksutov will give  you  some nice observing.
