Welcome to sgl.

I'm visiting Melbourn, Australia in two weeks time and I'm looking forward to seeing your Southern Hemisphere skies,

If you can get up into the Dandenongs, should be some nice clear dark skies...was in Melbourne a couple of weeks back, sadly no 'scope.... :mad:

Thanks all for the good wishes! As as aside, are there any recommendations for which of the astronomy magazines would be most useful to someone in the southern hemisphere? Currently, my best guess is Sky and Telescope Australia.
