Hello everyone,

New to the forum but not all that new to astronomy. Guess I could be called an intermediate beginner ?

I have bin interested in astronomy all my life,( who hasn't looked up and wondered ). I enjoy stargazing on clear

summer nights with my Binoculars ( I have a Celestron SkyMaster 15x70 mounted on a Nextech camera tripod).

I wanted to get into more serious viewing so I purchased a Celestron Omni XLT 120 refractor. Received the telescope mount

a few days ago, still waiting on the tube assembly, hope to get it soon.

Also thought i'd mention that I have a Fujifilm Finepix HS10 camera (30x zoom) not sure if it would be useful for telescope mounted astrophotography , as the lens is permanently connected to the camera body ?

....oops perhaps I should post this in the newbie questions section.
