Hi all,

I am new here and I live in Glasgow. Recently I bought an EXT-80 and I'm quite content looking around the night's sky when it's clear enough. What I really want to see are satellites though, particularly the Astra clusters at 19.2E and 28.2E.

I also intend to muck around with the serial interface to my telescope; I'm quite comfortable programming and I'm sure I can some up with something at least amusing before the year's out.

If anyone has any advice on looking at satellites, the Meade telescope control protocol or any other advice as a newbie to astronomy, I'd love to hear it :D
