No not the sailing club Leigh, it is the carp park on the side of the lake turn right before going down the hill to dunford bridge about a half a mile turn right again

Sorry guys, I think the clouds are my fault because when I got home tonight there were 2 boxes in my lounge and they contained a Celestron Evolution 6inch just wating to be put together

Hopefully there might be some clear skies tomorrow night for a couple of hours

Typical though isnt it, i want clear skies now

total disaster of a night, no observing, and got detoured on way home M1 was closed so had to go via wakefield,

I turned up, but didn't see the last posts and went to the sailing club car park,

Hung around and stared at clouds till 9.30 and then went home

We waited till 9.30 nick you must have been at the other little car park. we wondered why you weren't there

You see I don't know where all these car parks are! I only know the one, and that's the car park at the sailing club with the picnic tables at the main entrance.

The other car park is off dunford road. It's easy to see on google maps the entrance being across the reservoir from the sailing club.

There is also a tag near the slip road for red apple pickers co operative?

Hopefully we'll all meet up next time with clear skies

just got back from picking my new toy up,   must say it seems in excellent condition, and collimation is spot on,   was also given a bhatinov mask to go with it, so need to work out how to use that,

forecast is for a couple of hours clear skies around 7pm so will have a play see if my goto mount can handle it until I get a proper mount fori it
