Hello from North Devon

Hi All. I have recently 'returned' to stargazing having moved to north Devon a couple of years ago. The night skies on the coast can be quite awesome. Having owned a 4" reflector previously, I treat myself to an 8" dob and have so far started looking at the Messier objects and 'Turn Left at Orion' is being well thumbed. Really enjoying Saturn as have not seen that in years!

Hi Devonhead and welcome to the forum. In my experience, having an 8" aperture is when observing really starts to become interesting and so I think you're going to be able to have some great observing sessions in the near future - especially with that dark sky!

Clear skies and enjoy the forum,

James
