Hi Jonathan, what a beautifully simple and cheap idea, I have no doubt that will work. I to have problems with my meade lx 200 14 inch finderscope dewing up even with the heater strap working overtime. Although its not a major problem ,its a niggle that really gets on my nerves. Great idea......guess what ill be doing today!!!! lol Grant
