What have you got in your eyepiece case...

I have the usual stuff: 10,25mm Skywatcher and Celestron Plossl's. I have a 4mm Celestron Omni (expensive but rarely used). I have 3-4 Vixen NPL's and a Vixen NLV (all ranging between8-30mm), and i have a Hyperion zoom Mk III (8-24mm).

The only one i now take out with me is the zoom EP. Having a zoom EP just makes life and astronomy easier. No changing, dropping, losing anything. Its a one stop shop and really works well.

I also have a moon filter,LP filter, UHC filter and an Oiii filter.

Also i have a 1.5x/2x Revelation barlow....................which never gets a look in.

So basically (not counting doubles or barlow): 4,6,8,9,10,12,15,20,25,30mm

I did have a 40mm Celestron E-Lux EP but it was rubbish. The FOV was soo narrow it was like looking through a cardboard tube. So i sold it.

I can't help but think this is almost the same as the long running thread "show me your eyepiece case" I haven't taken part in that only because I can't upload a photo or album as it would be.

If the question is into the field, this means carrying things to me so only 4 eyepieces. I would also take my GSO 150mm.

So I would take. 35mm Panoptic

20mm Nagler

13mm Ethos

8mm Ethos

That for me would cover things nicely.

Alan.

I agree Alan - hence my link to that thread earlier in this one

I also agree with Damo that putting any sort of eyepiece to some use would be nice :rolleyes2:

Still, I hear that some better weather prospects might be due in the early part of 2013 so finger crossed !

Well John,

I have said it once and I will say it again, if I still lived in England there is no way I would have spent what I have on equipment. Going back to the 70's when I made a 12 inch Newtion, I remember when I finished it it was nearly 3 months before I could use it with weather and work.

I really do think the UK weather is getting worse, sorry for saying that again. I wish that the New Year brings something better for you all.

Something else I noticed but it may just have been luck. I used to holiday in Greece from about 1976 0r 7, I forget now. Every flight was like sitting in an armchair, and that was with Dan Air. Around 1995 -2005 I flew over a one and a half million miles on business, it seem the more I flew the rougher the air became and the worse the flight. Every time I went near an airport there were gale warning.

Lets hope for better next year.

Happy New Year to all.

Alan.
